Rubric Discussion - 2 Tips

I think these 6 categories lay the foundation to an exceptional course design. Each one has a specific component that helps keep the overall construction of the course on track and highly effective.

The two tips that I specifically liked under these categories were:

- Students' self-assessments and peer feedback opportunities exist throughout the course.

- Quiz to self-assess readiness to be an online student.

These two self-assessments, I think are pivotal for the success of an online course. The fact that most courses assume the students will have the skills to take part in an online class is something I see all the time.

Secondly, there has to be time for them to interact and learn with the other students. This is when ideas and subjects become more of a concrete reality to students, which is present in a face-to-face learning environment.
