REVISED Course Design - "Using SmartArt in MS Word 2007" by M. Tessmer

Here is a revised version of my Course Design document. As I perfected the step-by-step approach needed to perform this individual exercise feature, I had to revise a few paragraphs within the Course Design document.

The biggest challenge with this course design is that the AppShare feature is limited to sharing a single desktop to all Breakout Rooms, with only 1 person in control. So my work around is to have a participant in each Breakout Room share their personal desktop so that only that Breakout Room has access to it. The students will then Request Control from the person sharing their screen so they can do some hands-on practice.

The drawback of this online approach to teaching computer applications with hands-on practice is that the participants will be required to already have the matching version of software on their personal computer. The only workaround to that would be the instructor showing steps for multiple application versions which would broaden the audience who could participate (ie. MS Word XP as well as MS Word 2007).
