Provide activities that encourage critical thinking or problem-solving, like open-ended questions and opportunities to find solutions to given issues.

Assessment & Evaluation: Checklist could be used to help students self-evaluate. Provide feedback via email or online meeting with students. Assessments in the form of projects, assignments, or quizzes could be used throughout the course to assess readiness, skills, and knowledge.

Innovative Teaching with Technology: Provide interactive learning environments like Adobe Connect where whiteboard tools, audio, and camera can be used to engage learners with a variety of learning styles. The class could also contain blogs that integrate video, text, and images that connect to the course content.

Faculty Use of Student Feedback: Ask students to provide their expectations of the course, to see if their expectations fit the course description provided on most university websites or publications. This can help in reevaluating course assignments/projects that may miss the intended mark. Ask students for feedback on the course at end of the course and during the course.
